Otner and President, Karen “Lucky” Thornton, LMT, HHP healed her own Fibromyalgia in three months. Since then, Lucky has taught others to heal themselves for the past fourteen years in Hawaii and Sedona, Arizona, seeing over 1,500 healers graduate to heal themselves, their family, and their community. She is a Willow Practitioner graduate and is currently a doctoral student, attending the International Quantum University of Integrative Medicine (IQUIM) studying for her Ph.D. as Doctor of Natural Medicine.
She has over twenty years of healthcare industry experience. Lucky studied Pre-med in Hawaii, Cleveland and England. She worked in Corporate America for 13 years, and returned to the medical field in X-ray (RT) in 1993 and discovered holistic health methods in 1999.
Dila Asimova is a Holistic Health Practitioner, who graduated from School of Natural Medicine, Boulder Colorado .She is certified Healing Diet Counselor, Aroma Touch/Essential oils Practitioner, and Master touch Reflexologist. Dila received her license as a massage therapist in Hawaii; and she is a doctoral student at IQUIM studying for her Ph.D. in Integrative Medicine. Dila is a co-creator of Quantum School of Holistic Health at the Quantum Institute, utilizing her many years of teaching experience in Nutritional Healing and Reflexology with usage of Aromatherapy and Essential oils. She also teaches Medical Terminology, the basics of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology at a nursing school. Dila is a Certified Neurofeedback Technician (QNFT) providing Neurofeedback sessions to children with ADD and ADHD, Autism, Anxiety and Depression.
Dila received her Medical Doctor Degree in Tajikistan; Residency as an Internal Medicine Physician at Tajik Avicenna's Medical School. She has been working in the medical field over twenty years, with extensive experience in natural and allopathic medicine. Before immigrating to the USA, Dila worked at a Military Hospital in the Neuropsychology department and has helped her patients overcome anxiety, depression, panic attacks, PTSD affected by civil war in Tajikistan. Dila healed herself from vitiligo (an autoimmune disease) when she was a child, and in later years healed herself from shingles by integrating alternative and holistic modalities into allopathic methods of healing .Her extensive background in the medical field and her healing touch has helped many people in Tajikistan and the U.S. Her greatest passion is for helping people about well-being through teaching integrative alternative holistic medicine. Dila speaks Tajiki, Farsi, Russian and English fluently.

Linda Honda, MSW
Linda Honda obtained her Masters of Social Work degree at the University of Hawaii in 1981 while raising two young children and working full time. Holding a core belief in spiritual growth and human potential, Linda always found a way to challenge and nurture her own inner development. From spiritual studies to holistic health concepts to fitness and wellness, she found a resonance with a number of energy practices that felt like “home.” Linda now incorporates IQM, Tai Chi, music studies, and reflexology as part of nurturing her self and family.
Linda was a founding partner of The Institute for Family Enrichment (TIFFE) in 1981. She was instrumental in developing the organization and services that grew to provide training, educational, and prevention services on five islands of the State, and intensive treatment services for children, youth, and families on Oahu and the Big Island of Hawaii. Linda held the organization together through challenging times of expansion (up to 500 employees statewide), economic and priority shifts. After 32 years of success, Linda led the company through a challenging but successful merger with a leading Hawaii nonprofit agency.
Currently, Linda is sharing her knowledge and experience of thriving in the “outside” world from a strong “inside” core of being. She is a Certified Practitioner and Teacher of Integrative Quantum Medicine, Brain Management Consultant, and Administrative Projects Facilitator. David Çai, O.M.D., L.Ac.
Certified Oriental Medicine Doctor & Licensed Acupuncturist
Dr. Cai graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine with specialties in acupuncture, Acupressure Massage and Chinese Herbal medicine in 1991. He was a distinguished lecturer and practitioner at the University and its teaching hospital. For the past twenty three years, he has established his own hospital and herbal company in China and also has multiple private practices in the District of Columbia area, Beijing China, and Honolulu, Hawaii. He is a research consultant at the George Washington University Medical Center on a clinical trial of acupuncture sponsored by NIH, and co-editor of “An Illustrated Chinese Materia Medica” published by Oxford University Press. Dr. Cai has developed a unique style of acupuncture with a precise diagnosis system, effective point selection and combination, and refined needling techniques. He helped many patients with pain management, Cancer, Infertility and most Female Problems.
Kahu Mark (Manu) Saito
Mark Saito was born into a family of traditional Hawaiian healers of Hawaiian Kahuna (shaman) of two different traditions. One of them is Lomilomi and the other form is called Ho’oponopono.
Mark comes from an impressive lineage of teachers and mentors. His formal training started at the age of 7, studying with his father in altering the physical Universe, especially in dealing with healing and controlling things like the weather. He was also privileged to study under Uncle David Nu’uhiwa Sr., who taught both martial arts and healing arts in the form of Lua (traditional Hawaiian Martial arts) and lomilomi. The healing art of Ho’oponopono was first taught to him by a Kahuna by the name of Aunty Mornahh Nalamaku Simeona, back in 1979. Other teachers included Aunty Margaret Machado (she taught Lomilomi), Papa David Ka’alakea (he taught spiritual matters on a very Christian/Hawaiian style) and Aunty Lydia Hale.
Mark started doing massage and Lomilomi in 1972, and first started teaching the healing arts in 1988. He has taught several thousands of students over the years, and has done spiritual healing individually with over 4,000 clients.
Dr. Lulu (she spells it (Lu)2) holds a Doctorate of Health Sciences with a focus in Global and Indigenous Health and a Masters in Public Health with a Bachelors in Exercise Science. She has worked with USAID Afghanistan as an advisor to the Afghan government and was an intern with the World Health Organization in Nepal and Thailand; Dr. (Lu)2 has worked with the Hawai`i state Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Tanzania and as a CDC Tribal Evaluator with eight Native American tribes. Lastly, she was Behavior Health Director for 34 Alaskan Tribes. As a former Peace Corps volunteer in Ecuador, Dr. (Lu)2 has a passion to work with indigenous, underrepresented, and disparate people in humanitarian assistance. She has a deep desire to combat global health issues harming women, children, vulnerable populations, and family unity. Dr. (Lu)2‘s other passion is to help people, especially children, tap into their spiritual intelligence (SQ) and use their gifts from the Creator to find their purpose in life, to help the greater good, and to improve mankind.

Brittany Freitas LMT, M.Msc, Rev. has been in the healing field for a little over 10 years. Starting out as a Reiki practitioner, she later earned her Masters in Metaphysical Sciences and finally went on to pursue her true calling for Foot Reflexology. She loves the feet and the stories they tell about our bodies! She also enjoys spending time with her daughter Akiko and supportive husband Spencer. Currently, she is teaching the foot reflexology courses at the Quantum School of .Holistic Health.
Dr. Mike Quirk, DO
Dr. Mike Quirk, DO, first started learning Swedish Massage as a Freshman in college. After graduation, as a Register Nurse, he mastered Therapeutic Touch and would often use it with patients. In studying Osteopathic Family Medicine, he mastered many advanced physical therapy techniques as well as spinal manipulation, Medical Massage for lung and abdomen diseases and the highly energetic Cranial-Sacral therapy. His teachers have included world leaders in their fields. He presently teaches Cranial-Sacral therapy and Advanced Massage Techniques.
Amanda Waltman, HHP
Amanda has been with Quantum Institute International for Holistic Health since Lucky has opened its doors. With the experience she's gained from earning her HHP from Quantum, and her extensive nutritional studies over the last 12 years, she is very excited to be able to share her knowledge as one of the Nutritional Healing instructors. Having also studied in Europe and Peru, she loves traveling to learn about nutrition and perspective from all parts of the globe. Other favorite activities include surfing, diving, hiking, cooking, playing violin, watching futbol, and talking about nutrition with friends, family, and students!
Tara Alder, I-ACT
Tara Alder is founder and CEO of Alder Brooke Healing Arts Center in Eugene, OR, and is nationally certified as an instructor with the *International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT). She also attends and teaches at health conferences and is an international speaker.
Tara is a graduate of the American Institute of Natural Health and the Circle of Life Healing Arts institute. Tara has furthered her expertise by apprenticing at the Gerber Medical Clinic with Carol Christian and the Optimum Health resources with Maria-Elaina St. John. She maintains continuing education hours annually and is pursuing complementary health disciplines as she stays current on recent discoveries in the field of optimal health.
As a natural health coach with a holistic approach and a gentle nurturing touch, Tara has practiced professionally in the healing arts since 2000. Tara believes that everyone deserves to live an extraordinary life with youthful vitality. Tara also pursues environmental activism as she knows that what we do to mother earth we do to our bodies. With this knowledge she strives to regain both personal and global ecological balance by creating sustainable health from the inside out.

Rita Soman, MA, CADC III, is the founder and director of Oregon State Certified Outpatient Alcohol & Drug program, Addictions & Family Counseling, P.C. and Belief Mantra. Observing the benefits of PSYCH K® in her own life and practice, compelled to share her extraordinary triumphs (and the process) with all those who continued to suffer and struggle in reaching their goals. She highly encourages psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other professionals to look into this process, if they’re not getting their clients/patients the results, they wish for them.
The specialty of her private practice is to assist people in identifying the root causes of issues related to their physical, emotional or mental well-being, including addictions to alcohol and drugs, using a blend of contemporary and scientific processes including PSYCH K® that fundamentally reprograms the subconscious mind with empowering beliefs. He offers a focus on connecting with yourself, with your client and with anatomy so you create a space of harmony when you deliver your massage.
Elena Maganto, Ph.D.
Elena Maganto Ph.D, a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, is currently devoted to empowering the health and wellness of people with serious digestive and immune system disorders including lack of energy, sleep deprivation, food allergies, abdominal pain or bloating, obesity, Diabetes, Atherosclerosis, Fibromyalgia or chronic infection. She offers to her clients nutritional counseling and coaching, targeting nutritional imbalances and customizing diet for each individual’s health.
Dr. Maganto has a PhD in Molecular Biology. She received her PhD from the University Autonoma of Madrid (Spain) and completed her postgraduate training at Harvard Medical School, Boston. As research scientist, she has dedicated her research efforts over the past 13 years to the study of inflammatory diseases, including atherosclerosis and diabetes. She has been invited to present her work in International and National conference including the American Heart Association, and her work has been featured in several articles.
During her training, she studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. Her teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
Her education has equipped Dr. Maganto with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, preventive health and in understanding how inflammation, atherosclerosis, diabetes, and other diseases occur. She believes that nutrition and science work together to reduce risk of disease in numerous ways.
As a Doctor in Health Science, she believes in Functional Medicine which focuses on interactions between the environment and the gastrointestinal, endocrine, and immune systems. She develops individual and unique plans. Dr. Maganto is also a Master/Teacher of Reiki, a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Elizabeth Reveley, LMT
Elizabeth Reveley is the designer and developer of Radical Self Care and MyRadicalSelfCare.Com. She is an international trainer and expert in the sacred healing arts. With over 35 years of study in hands-on bodywork, clinical psychology and esoteric healing, Ms Reveley synthesizes all of it into Radical Self-Care: a dynamic personal and planetary healing and enlightenment program. Based on the profound understanding that all Healing is Self-Healing. She draws on her studies in touch therapies, the laws of quantum physical and personal growth. Since 1984 when Ms Reveley opened The American Institute of Massage Therapy in Kailua, Hawaii, she has devoted her career to simplifying and sharing the sacred laws of the universe in the most practical possible way: self-healing. Kathryn Julia, LMT NCBTMB
Kathryn has been a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist in Hawaii since 1978, having worked with many clients from 30 minutes old to 110 years old. Her specialties include, Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Prenatal Massage,
Infant Massage, Pediatric Massage and Geriatric Massage. She is also a Certified Doula, working with women and their families in the childbearing year. In 2013 she took initiation as a Master in Reiki.
When Kathryn received her first massage she got up and said “I want to make sure 1,000,000 people know about this before I leave this earth.” She has been following her passion ever since.

LiAnn Lilinoe Uyeda
Kumu Lomilomi LiAnn Lilinoe Uyeda is the founder and CEO of Aloha Lomilomi in Kapahulu, as well as the author of Cooking in Pono. She is a teacher and keynote speaker. She teaches Lomilomi and shares her mana'o about healing with plants and other items around the house. Her book, Cooking in Pono captures the essence of ono (delicious) local foods shared in Hawaii paired with inspiring stories about healing, growing, learning, and living in pono (excellence).
Author LiAnn Uyeda explores the connection between cooking and living in a way that is good and right. Cooking in pono means to cook with a passion for giving and helping a way of living that Hawaiian describe as pono, goodness, uprightness, and excellence. As a lomilomi practitioner who helps people from all walks of life in their healing journey, LiAnn has found food not only delights the senses but nurtures the soul and can help direct ones journey. These recipes from family and friends are offered alongside stories of wisdom and strength making Cooking in Pono not just a culinary journey, but a spiritual one and one filled with laughter and joy. The recipes and the food are meant to be empowering feeding the belly and the soul.
Joshua Jensen, MS, LMT
Joshua Jensen, MS, LMT has practiced massage for almost 20 years and specializes in Asian healing modalities. In 1998 he began his training at the Acupressure Institute and became certified in Shiatsu, Emotional Balancing, and Advanced Shiatsu. Joshua was mentored in Barefoot Shiatsu and later went on to be a certified teacher in both Barefoot and Zen Shiatsu. He has studied Thai massage in Chiang Mai Thailand and Tui Na in Tianjin China.
Joshua received his Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2010 and currently works for the Institute for Human Services, the largest homeless shelter in the Pacific. Joshua has developed massage classes for people living with HIV and other chronic health conditions, basic acupressure, Zen Shiatsu and fundamentals of Chinese Theory and is a licensed massage teacher by the Hawaii Department of Education.
